I Love this Marinade Recipe

Flank Steak Salad I recommend this Marinade
Flank Steak Salad - Marinade and Salad
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of red wine vinegar
2 Tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of garlic juice or garlic powder
(I grated Two Fresh Garlic Cloves instead of above choices.)
dash of liquid smoke
(I used ½ to ¾ of a teaspoon of smoked paprika instead of liquid smoke.)
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 soy sauce
Method:

Tenderize flank steak with a fork or use a blade tenderizer. ( www.amazon.com/Deni-MT48-Blade-Meat-Tenderizer/dp/B0000DDUCM) Add to marinade and marinate overnight. (or at least 2 hours)
Grill or broil flank steak until internal temperature reaches 140 degrees (for medium).
Slice on the bias. Serve cold on top of salad.
Salad Dressing
Ingredients:
¼ c. sugar
2 T. green onion
½ c. salad oil
1/3 c. cider vinegar
1 t. salt
1 t. dry mustard
Method:

Blend together. Mix salad greens with dressing. Go light on the dressing. You don't want your salad greens to get soggy.
Salad Ingredients
Ingredients:
Add whatever you want for color and taste. This is what I add:
Tub or bag of mixed salad greens
craisins
carrot shreds
pine nuts/slivered almonds
red onion
feta cheese/mozzarella cheese
Method:

Lay lettuce (mixed with dressing) on serving platter. Sprinkle other ingredients on top. Top with flank steak. Drizzle additional salad dressing on top if you wish. Dig in and ENJOY!!!

Colors, rain, bored.

Friday Night, It started raining last night, or should I say at around 3:30 this Morning.
And rained off and on all day. I love the rain.
I went to town and bought grocery's. And looked for a knob for the hot water tap on the garden tub. Brand new faucet and the stupid knob split in two.
But my washer works.

I am bored so I will play with the colors, and see what looks good on my Blog.

Blue is most likely to dark right?

We need the rain, and I hope it rains tomorrow as well. Can't work outside but the moisture sure helps all the Trees. Makes the Grass Grow.
Lots of Grass. Lol

1 Year Anniversary Today

Today is my One Year Anniversary, since I quit Smoking. And that is a big deal to me.
If I can do it Anyone can. I really hate the way they smell, and the cost alone
is crazy. I still want one once in awhile but that's not going to happen.
And when I think of how tied down the smokes made me that was crazy to.
I do not have that crutch, and love it. It was hard and probably always will be.
I have talked to people that quit years ago and they still want one, so I realize that
It will be a life time fight at times, And I will not be foolish and try just one.

Chantex is what I used to help and I quit taking it after six weeks, it really did help me,
so if you are ready to quit, just do it. And know it's hard but worth it.

Great B-Day

I had a Great B-Day, Went Shopping with Two of my Friends, had Lunch and went and seen,
Marley & Me the Show was very good, except the end all us Girls cried and I didn't bring enough tissue's.
This movie is so real to life, about the relationship, with animals, I think they needed the Dog Whisperer to help them train the dog, but that was the comedy in the movie." So in reality the dog was an actor," right?

Most of my family called me and they always do.

So it was a Great B-Day, my Hubby woke me up this Morning with kisses, need more B-Days, lol
Just kidding, of course he is Great.
Great, Friends, and Family what more could a Girl want? Nothing just more time to enjoy each and every one of them. But we live away from each other most of us. So when we can get together it's Great.

I do appreciate them all, and will try to be a better about letting them all know how much I love, and miss them all when there not around.

Thanks Everyone for a Great Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
